All portable appliance testing is carried out on-site by our qualified technicians using calibrated testing equipment. Each item undergoes a thorough visual inspection followed by electrical testing appropriate to its class. Items that pass are tagged with a durable barcode label showing the test date and next due date. Failed items are clearly marked and taken out of service until repaired or replaced.
Under Australian workplace safety legislation, employers have a duty of care to ensure all electrical equipment used in the workplace is safe and regularly tested. Testing frequencies vary depending on the environment — construction sites and workshops typically require testing every three months, while office environments may only need annual testing. Our team can help you determine the right schedule for your workplace to maintain compliance and protect your staff.
PRC Test and Tag uses advanced barcode tracking technology to maintain accurate records of every appliance tested. This system allows for easy retrieval of test history, automated reminders when re-testing is due, and comprehensive reporting that satisfies audit and compliance requirements. Our detailed test reports include individual results for each appliance, providing a complete picture of your workplace electrical safety.
